Review of Pathfinder (1987) by Martin M — 18 Sep 2009
For what it was, a portrayal of what is said to be a legend of what occurred when Vikings raided and destroyed the lives of Indians living in Canada and the Americas, I think it was very well done, very believable, and many times, very heartbreaking. I will not say I enjoyed this movie, but it did help bring to mind the sometimes wonderful lives, and great pain my Native American brothers often went through, and a greater understanding of what Vikings were all about. I am glad I watched it and would recommend it very highly.
The fact that some of you can't enjoy a movie unless it is filled with mind-numbing violence, graphic sex, gore and cgi effects is a very sad statement as to the current state of what used to be "humanity.".
