Review of Parzania (2005) by Mrudula K — 06 Jun 2007
Directed by Rahul Dholakia and inspired from a true story, Parzania is the touching tale of a Parsi family?s struggle to find their son who was lost during the mayhem of the 2002 Gujarat riots. The horrors committed upon Muslims during the riots are depicted with realism.
So much so that your jaw will drop and you?ll be glued to your seat only sometimes squirming in discomfort at some of the atrocities you?ll witness. You?ll shed a tear for the valiant attempts of the family to find their son while also battling a corrupt government and an incompetent police force.
And then you?ll hope. You?ll hope that the real life family finds their son some day. Parzania will move you like no other film. You cannot afford to miss it.
