Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Sophi N — 18 Aug 2007
Hunter Carson is astoundingly good in his portrayal of Hunter, which is really remarkable seeing as how he can't have been older than 10 at the time the film was shot. The film is very slow, but that pace goes along perfectly with the story itself.
Beautiful shots of stark, vast, sublime Texas and southwestern America (which is only natural, as Sam Shepard wrote the screenplay.) Nasstasja Kinski is so beautiful, and watching her is always a joy.
Another lovely film by Wim Wenders. AND did I mention the cinematography? it's perfect.
