Review of Paper Moon (2013) by Matthew H — 18 Dec 2007
This is a fantastic piece of 70s cinema and a good reminder of what makes films so great - characters. In our day and age of computer generated whizz-pop and fabricated, plastic stars, PAPER MOON delivers a solid little character period piece more delightful than anything I've seen in recent years.
Utterly entertaining and simple, this is a forgotten classic that needs to resurface. It probably can't be appreciated by todays MTV audiences, which is a sad reminder of todays film climate. People will line up to see shit like Transformers, but ask someone if they know this film.
The unjust answer will be no. Do yourself a favour and watch this great little flick and be tickled by a film like you used to.
