My favorite film by Peter Bogdonovich, Paper Moon blends drama and humor quite well. Tatum O'Neal gives a great performance. This little girl is assertive, smokes and is more clever than her elders, yet the character never comes off obnoxious the way that many other child actors might portray it.
It's almost as though they paid a midget to play the role instead.
