Review of Paper Clips (2004) by Lisa M — 31 Oct 2007
This is an incredible documentary about the children at the middle school in Whitwell, TN. They had never met a Jew, but participated in an awareness program about the Holocaust. One child couldn't fathom a number as large as 6 million people so it was suggested they collect something to represent that number.
Paper clips were collected (the Norwegians wore them on their labels in silent protest in their Nazi-occupied land) and started pouring in with letters telling who each represented. Have Kleenex handy, you'll need it.
May we never forget.
