Review of Pandora's Box (1929) by Ashley F — 06 Jun 2007
Stunning film. I'm amazed it was made in the late 20s, as the themes of prostitution and lesbianism never really became mainstream for many more years. Louise Brooks is incredibly enchanting and charming.
Although the movie does drag a little in the middle, I would still rate it as one of the classics of cinema. What is with the german Jack the Ripper at the end though?
