Review of Packed In A Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson (2015) by Tommy V — 13 Aug 2015
Interesting look at an early 20th century lesbian Provincetown artist whose life and career were ripped from her by being committed. The movie however seems to flounder when it comes to the history of this woman relying on a psychic medium rather than sticking to facts and evidence.
Additionally, at times it feels like an attempt to elevate the value of said artwork or to place Edith into an enshrined position in the art world that may or may not be deserved.
