Review of Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018) by James D — 24 Mar 2018
At the time of my review, its tomatometer rating is 46% - absolutely wrong. It is an excellent movie and deserves to be seen. They had great continuity from the 1st PR, several cool twists, and excellent visual and sound effects.
I haven't felt like I was "in the movie" since Saving Private Ryan. This deserves WAY better press than it's getting - screw the critics, and screw their "lacks subtlety and originality" and "veers from Del Toro's vision" comments.
Who cares, it's Pacific Rim, it's supposed to be a thrill ride, and it is.
