Review of Paan Singh Tomar (2012) by Nilesh J — 03 Nov 2012
Well-acted, interesting bio-pic. But, the picture is too disjointed as it tries to cover a life over three+ decades. No other characters except the one of Paan are given any personalities. Paan himself is shown as one perpetually naïve, always driven by circumstances and a hopeless emotion driven simpleton even as he kills and robs.
The story is overly sympathetic as it tries every one on the other side of Paan as completely devilish including those who try to do their duty or the others who try to save their wealth/lives. The biggest positive is Irfaan's acting.
