Review of Outlaws and Angels (2016) by John L — 17 Jun 2016
The most inventive and courageous film making I've seen in a long time. In an era of bombast without substance, when superheros and sequels dominate the box office, this film harkens back to the days before all the great writing and acting abandoned the cinema for cable TV; when "independent" meant fearless exploration of character and the deepest aspects of storytelling.
Bravo, Mr Mollner. May this be the first of many.
