Review of Opening Night (1977) by Irvin C — 08 Mar 2009
This is probably one of if not the best films about the theater. An actress' life and career goes into a tailspin after witnessing a young fan get killed in an road accident. Gena Rowlands gives one of her best performances in this rather underappreciated (at least by the mainstream) Cassavetes work.
She's supported by a strong cast as well.
