Review of Open City (2008) by Randy T — 10 Oct 2009
Has to be one of the first post-war films to come out of Italy after WWII. In 1945 the Italians had every right to be anti-German, yet this film is less about that than it is an homage to the men, women and children who fought against occupation in the underground resistance movement.
A fantastic film.
