Review of One Hour Photo (2002) by John S — 19 Aug 2009
I was underwhelmed by this movie. Williams isn't as creepy as advertised and the rest of the acting is pretty plain. The best actor is the boss from Office Space who has the most realistic interactions with Williams.
Most of the scenery feels very staged (especially the large open lobby in the retail store with no registers) and the music that tries to set a tense, creepy mood is distractingly bad at times. The story moves along well enough until the child molestation reveal which was truly groan-inducing.
Pretty much your typical sub-standard thriller here.
