Un dramma? Una commedia? Difficile catalogare questo lavoro di Kusturica che alterna comicità a violenza, sogno a tragedia. Una mistione di idee e immagini confusa e grottesca, ma anche lenta e affannosa, a tratti irritante.
Sembra voler criticare la cupidigia efferata dell'uomo contrapposta ad una natura buona seppur imperscrutabile, a conti fatti però è difficile trovare il senso, artistico e metaforico, di "On the milky road".
