Review of Om Shanti Om (2007) by Morgan S — 28 Nov 2009
BY FAR one of my favorite films. I have been a fan of Bollywood for several years, and this film has an energy to it that makes the epic length zoom by. First of all, the humor is great, and well played by SRK.
In addition, the dancing and soundtrack are incredible, with an excellent mix of tempi and styles. All dances are filmed with outstanding visuals, and the film as a whole is a treat for the senses. Gorgeous sets, gorgeous costumes, and gorgeous casting.
It was also nice to see SRK in a romantic lead role that had just enough sexual tension to be alluring, without the creepiness of having him hookup with an 18 year old ingenue.
