Review of November (2004) by Maria B — 31 Mar 2005
David Lynch meets Blow-Up meets Rashomon in this story of a woman (Cortney Cox Arquette), who tries to cope with a loss of her loved one. Was it a shooting in the corner joint on a dirty street, or was it just the result of her affair? This film is not too original, but its dark athmosphere is impressive. It was shot on miniDV, which proves itself to fit perfectly for the urban decay environment.
The difference bertween Greg Harrison an David Lynch is simple: November's director needs to have a shrink in the plot to make people understand what's going on. David Lynch would have never done that :).
