Review of No Country for Old Men (2007) by Tanner B — 19 Aug 2015
-IGNORE THIS "OUT OF FIVE" RATING.
4/4.
Unbearably searing tale of three different people who all intervene: A psychopath who kills everyone he meets, a sheriff feeling indifferent by the way the world is, and a regular hunter, who finds two million dollars. Staggering adaption of Cormac McCarthy's novel is so intense, and so masterful it may be the Coen brother's best film. Powerhouse performances by all three stars, especially Javier Bardem as the villain, he Won well deserved Supporting Actor Oscar. This powerhouse of a film also Won Best Picture, Director, and Screenplay (the Coen brothers). My candidate for the top film of the decade.
