Review of Next Stop Wonderland (1998) by Bester L — 03 Jan 2008
Now that the means of production have gotten affordable to everyone, there really is no such thing as a proper "indie" movie in the nineties sense anymore. You know, quirky script, appealing but kinda-not-famous lead actors, lots of bossa nova in the soundtrack.
.. This was one of the last to fit the bill. It's pretty funny in spots, and Hope Davis is cute, but if this were being made now you'd watch it in podcast form, in six-minute instalments.
