Beautifully simple, and wonderfully acted it was not the best of the shorts, but the one that made me smile the most. At only 11 minutes, it gives us brief glimpses into Joseph's past, but we don't need anything more.
New Boy deals with the sometimes hard realities of race and trauma without ever becoming obvious about it. I've never been in an Irish classroom, but everything about it felt dead-on accurate.
