This movie is a mystery. It is quite sad and beautiful. The innocence that Jodie Foster is able to create in the character of Nell is almost unfathomable. To imagine what it would be like to grow up with no outside culture, to the extent that one develops their own lanaguage----well that is incredible! And as you watch Nell you will be reminded that we need to always value people for who they are and not for what we think they can do for us.
The protection of an innocent is a guiding theme in Nell. It is a fascinating movie!
