Review of Nanking (2007) by Damian L — 04 Jan 2008
A very powerful and emotional retelling of the controversial Nanking Massacre and the group of foreigners who stood up against the Japanese to protect the Chinese. The story is told by way of group-reading from actual accounts and occasionally shifts to testimonial by the Chinese survivors.
I was moved to tears through half of the movie from the accounts of the survivors on the atrocities committed by the Japanese. Very highly recommended because as it says in the movie, this story must be told to the world.
A definite must watch.
