Review of Naked (2017) by Timothy A — 30 Aug 2017
More than occasionally funny, but near unforgivably derivative. If there?s nothing original under the sun, there?s no shame in ripping off Groundhog Day every now and then, but when you centre your plot around a man-child finding his way to supposed maturity through the love of a good woman, you?re really squandering whatever goodwill you get by paying homage to a classic.
Watchable, but you don?t need a degree in film studies to spot markers in the first act are going to be reversed by the third.
