The performances were ok but the story seemed a bit meandering and the individual stories didnt seem to have any real cohesiveness. A bit overly melodramatic at parts and gushingly sentimental but it had its moments.
THe only real big complaint I had with it was that their struggles and Latino identities seemd a little too picturesque and painted on; it didnt feel genuine for me and the characters seemed a bit stereotypical and unrealistic in a sense.
