Do I believe this guy? I dunno. I don't think that's the point, at least not exactly, and the film works better for it. It also helps, oddly enough (for a guy like me) if you don't have any real background knowledge of the Amityville Horror story.
I felt like I was being told a story fresh and I got to experience this guy's stories with all their horror and conviction. Give Lutz this: he ain't boring.
