Review of Mrs. Miniver (1942) by Lance H — 01 Apr 2015
Starring Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon. A terribly sanitized portrait of life in England's middle class leading up to WWII, this Oscar-winning best picture remains a fine example of the morale-boosting films which helped keep British spirits high and intensified American support for the war effort in the early '40s.
Great support from Dame May Whitty, Teresa Wright and Henry Travers. Directed by William Wyler.
