Satirizing Vietnam-era far right American extremism would seem like a goldmine for humor, but this film gets tedious quickly and the jokes mostly fall flat. I do give it points for the amusingly ridiculous costumes worn by Mr.
Freedom. Sometimes even Criterion/Eclipse picks dumb movies to release on dvd.
