Review of Mixed Kebab (2012) by Al P — 26 May 2016
This is not so much a gay film or even a love story but a film about tolerance and intolerance, culture clash, and changing times. Another reviewer suggests there are too many subjects and nothing is done with them but the fact that the film is not judgmental or moralising is one of its main strengths.
The plot has to be a bit contrived to fit in so many themes but it works. The plot takes a number of different unexpected turns and moves at a good pace. Strong performances by all the cast. Recommended.
