South Korea's highest grosser for 2013 is an unashamed tearjerker (and pulls the heartstrings too deliberately at times), but at the end it's a life affirming fable of unconditional bond between parent and child and friendship under difficult circumstances, at times reminding me of 'Life is Beautiful'.
