Review of Minority Report (2002) by Diane S — 21 Mar 2012
"Minority Report" is one of those rare films that transcends a single genre. It is a masterful thriller, an intriguing mystery, and astounding science fiction, all amalgamated into a film that more than holds its own weight among Spielberg's other great films.
The film accomplishes all that it should, and more. After hooking us in with the intriguing premise, Tom Cruise carries us along with his performance. Interspersed by thrilling chases, masterfully orchestrated scenes, and narrow escapes, the film moves inexorably forward to a conclusion that is satisfying on all levels.
