Review of Michael (2011) by Jesse O — 15 Jun 2012

I'd say this is a good movie, one that mostly suggests instead of show you the more horrific aspects of Michael's pedophilia. That's definitely far more disturbing than explicitly telling us what happened.

The film isn't perfect really, I think it does take a darkly comical approach to how Michael's life is completely uneventful despite the fact that he's a pervert who's kidnapped a 10 year old boy.

Michael Fuith's performance is excellent and he definitely looks the part of creepy pedophile. I don't think there's much to say about the movie, it's definitely not an easy movie to watch with its subject matter but I think it's good enough to recommend watching on netflix.
