Review of Menashe (2017) by Hozho1 — 28 Jul 2017
This was a movie made extraordinary simply by its remarkable setting; the Borough Park Hasidic community in Brooklyn. This is a world profoundly detached from virtually everyone who is not part of it. As the Director said in the Q&A after viewing the film, it is a movie, primarily, of moments.
These non-professional actors are simply extraordinary and the lead is pure poetry.
