Review of Melancholia (2011) by Kate K — 27 Dec 2012
This movie haunted me for days and continues to do so. Melancholia is both an old term for depression and the name of the blue planet headed on a destruction course toward Earth. An outstanding film in mood and character--no people screaming around doing last-minute-on-the-planet raping and looting.
Just sadness and the idea that those who see doom in every act of every human may be on to something.
