Review of Masters of the Universe (1987) by Brandon B — 05 Nov 2008
A classic 80s kids movie! Dolph Lundgren kicks some ass as He-Man, and Frank Langella is awesome as Skeletor. I wish that we could have seen more of Castle Greyskull, and why was Oroko replaced with a midget elf? However, the cosmic key is an awesome device that makes sweet synthesizer music, and thankfully they dispensed with the whole secret identity nonsense.
For those angry that they got rid of the whole Prince Adam/He-Man subplot... really? It was even more ridiculous than people not recognizing Clark Kent as Superman because he took off his glasses. All He-Man did was strip to his underwear and all of a sudden people couldn't tell it was the same guy? LOL!! However it would have been nice to see Battle Cat.
