Review of Mary Reilly (1996) by Jess H — 05 Jan 2008
Not usually a horror fan myself and I balk at sexualized violence but darned if I don't love gothic horror and this one in particular. I like only three films with Julia Roberts in them and this is one of them.
The cast is delightful and if the accents of the two stars are decidedly not British enough or waver in and out occasionally, it is a flaw that is out-shined by the luster of their delicious performances.
