Review of Marnie (1964) by Christian L — 06 Jan 2010
Loved the picture Marine Tippi and Sean have real on screen chemistry. Tippi plays as Marnie a young woman who has mental problems like when she sees the color red and steals because it's more of a strong rush as it is for women who have a strong urge to have sex for the thrill of the chase.
Although Marine dislikes men, doesn't want men to touch her, or have any sexual contact due to a personal past. Connery's character is obsessed as to why Marine is dysfuctional and wants to help her overcome her mental crisis.
A big change for Hitchcock since he loves to tell stories about ppl who are wrongly accused but whatever story Hitchcock is interested in he knows audience will always be interested in what the master has in store.
