Review of Mark of the Devil (1970) by Paul J — 06 Nov 2010
Lame, lame, lame. A movie that shamelessly tried to cash in on the success of Witchfinder General. Sure there are a few grisly torture scenes that have given the film a reputation (those nutty Germans) but it drags along at a tedious pace.
The only thing worth mentioning is that it was filmed at an actual location where they tortured "witches" and burnt them at the stake. Which gives the film a certain level of authenticity. My personal highlight? The bunny rabbit on puppet strings.
Never saw that before.
