Review of Manderlay (2005) by Joel C — 17 Jun 2007
Lars von trier reminds us of his brilliance with his return of Grace Mulligan in the sequel to Dogville. His genius is further exhibitted in his 'dogma' filmography. Bryce Howard delivers a brilliant and surely memorable performance in this story of a rich white girl in the midst of post-Civil War slavery.
A true dogma classic about the strange and possessive emotions that many films cover up.
