Review of Man on the Edge (2013) by Jy S — 20 Apr 2013
Jo Jin-kyoo's Man on the Edge delivers a little bit of everything.A bit of action, a hint of the supernatural, and a dose of comedy all wrapped up in some drama is what this 2+ hour story has to offer.
The film is full of spunk from the get go and it proves highly amusing with effective humor. Unsurprisingly, the film loses its pizazz and becomes highly dramatic with its finale. The action isn't in high abundance and it's somewhat over the top, but that doesn't deface this film in any way; especially with the way the film plays out.
Shin-yang Park is asked to do a lot and he gets the job done with his expressions and line delivery. Ji-won Eom is a delight and the young Song-i Yoon looks to have a bright future ahead.Man on the Edge has its share of moments and they are more than enough to warrant a recommendation.
