Review of Man of Tai Chi (2013) by Baurushan J — 05 Mar 2014
Keanu Reeves makes his first ever directorial debut in Man Of Tai Chi. The story is about Donaka Mark played by Reeves himself who follows the spiritual journey of a young martial artist played by Tiger Chen, whose unparalleled Tai Chi skills land him in a highly lucrative underworld fight club.
As the fights become more dangerous, so does his will to survive. This is a solid film and a promising comeback from Keanu Reeves since I have been waiting for a movie of his for years. The "Fight Club"-style modern martial arts action scenes were the most intense in recent years of martial arts history.
But let's just hoe he doesn't stray away too much from acting to be honest. Man of Tai Chi gets a solid 10/10.
