Review of Maggie (2015) by Jason C — 27 Nov 2015
Arnold Schwarzenegger has proven that he is not washed up and phoning it in anymore. This movie is emotional, heartbreaking, and features great performances. Despite it's slow pace and depressing color palette, I found myself very engaged in Maggie.
This is mainly due to Breslin and Schwarzenegger's fantastic performances. The other characters are also well acted, yet some feel like "zombie movie" cliches, like the "evil cop character.
" Not everything works, but overall I enjoyed the movie. It's a great performance piece and a nice breath of fresh air in the zombie movie craze. 8/10.
