Review of Madame Bovary (2015) by Paul K — 23 May 2016
Dour production. Drains the life out of the book. Having recently read the book,I was really disappointed with this. Only managed 30 or so minutes before realising it couldn't improve. I have been a Wasikovska fan since I watched Tracks,but maybe she wasn't suited to this role. More likely it is the direction.
I hope this adaptation doesn't stop people from reading one of the greatest books ever written.
