Review of M. Butterfly (1993) by Yasemin B — 09 Aug 2010
The first time I saw M.Butterfly I thought it is not a typical Cronenberg's movie.
The second time, I saw I feel like this is a typical Cronenberg's movie, not about the body deformations but about the emotional deformations. Especially the scene which was shot in the police van, was one of the most disturbing scenes I have ever seen.
It is such a good movie about love and obsession.
There is nothing to say about the performances of Jeremy Irons and John Lone. There are not enough words to describe their performances.
It is a MUST SEE!! not just for Cronenberg fans but also for every moviemaniacs.
Just take a deep breath before you watch it and be sure that you can handle it.
