To create change, be the first. And this movie certainly did that. This movie reflects and displays the struggle of many people. Aside from that, the movie normalises and establish the existence of gay people, that they go through life the same, that Simon have the same butterflies in stomachs when he meets the one he loves.
It is a typical love story, but with a dash of awesome and substance. 9/10.
