Review of Love Is All You Need (2012) by Henry F — 09 Jun 2013
This is not an escapist travelogue or romance, even though it's set in Italy and beautifully filmed. It is funny in places, but it also has real depth. This is the kind of movie about relationships and morality that Woody Allen thinks he makes.
You might see the end coming but there are enough twists in the story to keep you engaged and thinking. Exceptional performances all around. Trine Dyrholm is a revelation. She has Meryl Streep's ability to convey a range of complex emotion with seemingly little effort.
Dyrholm connects with the audience as if she were live and not on film. This is a very rewarding film.
