Yuji Yamada is an amazing filmmaker, I have enjoyed all his movies. Love and Honor is no exception. His samurai movies are very reminiscent of Kurosawa whilst bringing some new creative ideas. Not the average subpar Japanese movie, this director demands everything from his cast.
