People that rate this movie as low probably doesn't understand what it means to come from nothing and have something that changes your life. I grew up with very little and after graduating college, I can say that females that wouldn't talk to me before now want to be my bestfriend.
This movie reminded me of my own life. Therefore, I can relate.
