If you've seen any of the Friday or Barbershop movies then you have an idea of what to expect from Lottery Ticket. Ice Cube follows the same formula which is somewhat engaging and silly enough to keep you chuckling.

What Lottery Ticket is missing is a a Chris Tucker like personality to keep it jumping. Brandon T. Jackson does his best to play Smokey to Bow-Wows straight man character, ie Craig, but falls way short of the difficult task.

That being said the two young actors play off each other very well in a rare dramatic scene on top of the building. There is a the usual host of additional characters that are added to spice things up.

Its worth seeing but just do go in looking for any surprises.
