Greg Kinnear was the only lead in the ensemble of AS GOOD AS IT GETS not to win an Oscar that year. THe film wouldn't have come together without his performance. Finally he gets a fantastic role and is surrounded with fantastic performances.
This is a coming-of-age film that examines more than just youths discovering sex. This is about emerging awareness and trying to find how one fits in the world without the help of adults who are preoccupied with their own baggage.
