I almost gave up on this one. The beginning, with the unhappy girls and all the unhappy adults in their Salton Sea trailer slum, was terribly depressing and glum. But once the girls ran away to LA things got very interesting indeed.
A gritty coming of age story for young girls is what it is, and the last 20 minutes are riveting. I'm becoming quite the Juno Temple fan.
